Early April Update   Show/Hide This Report

Hey everyone,

Easter's this weekend and I'm headed up north with the wife and new baby to visit my family. We're planning on making some venison summer sticks with my brother's new smoker, and we're going to spend some time at our cabin...generally some good R&R. Happy Easter to everyone.

Well, crazy Dan apparently can't read...his turkey season doesn't start this weekend, but rather the first weekend in May! Looks like others will be getting first crack over him...take advantage of that!

We're still scoping out a few potential hunting spots for this fall in Illinois and Minnesota. Check our Hunts and Leases page for a new turkey lease in southwest Michigan that's available.

Until next time...

Potential Illinois Leases   Show/Hide This Report
Please contact us if you are interested in hunting Illinois this fall if we find something and when/how much you are able to hunt. Bow or gun? How many guys? We'll post any updates to the site as well as to our mailing list members.

Wisconsin Deer & Turkey Spectacular   Show/Hide This Report

It was great to see and talk to so many of you at the show this past weekend. Lone Wolf had a great show. We sold a bunch of stands and swapped a lot of stories. The new intro for the TV show, Whitetail Addictions, to air this July on the Men's Channel was a hit. We're excited to see it coming about.

I was impressed with Gray Wolf Woolen's products. They have a new material that is like saddle cloth only lighter and more water resistant!

The big buck display did not disappoint. If one pays attention to that area and the Canadian outfitters booths, you'll notice Wisconsin, in my opinion, has better genetics than those big Canadian deer! If given the age, Wisconsin bucks grow even bigger than the mature bucks of Canada.

So what did you all think of the show? Any new products that struck you?
