Well I 'm going to be getting 10 of my guns back from the breakin I had in November. Even though they where insured I don't think I can replace the 6 guns that the cops didn't recover.I went out this past weekend to start looking at replacement guns, and they are insane at the prices that they are getting for new guns!!! I mean almost $1,000 for a Remington Model 1100? I guess I'm just getting old but I can remember back in 1974 paying under $400 for a 870 chambered in 3in. with a vent rib and the stock in walnut, or my Weatherby 7mag Mark 5 in walnut for $500 back in 1980. No wonder we are losing hunters today, who the hell can afford it anymore? Sorry about the rant. deerman :D

Glad you are getting back some of your guns. The 870's are still reasonable (I like Mossberg myself).

One the flip side you ARE getting back 10 of them. Better than a kick in the ass. Hope the thieves spend a long time behind bars.

Glad they got 10 for ya

Thanks Greywolf, now there is another twist to this. Now he is also going to be charged with burglary, besides the 15 seperate counts of having my guns and being a convicted felon. The only down side is the guns that they didn't recover are probally the most cherished ones. But life goes on. deerman

Is there any attempt being made to water board the guy to find out what he did with the ones still missing?

No, but we have a pretty good idea that the missing ones are in the hands of family members. For instance , my 270 is missing just the scope, another rifle is missing it's sling, and there is the matter of my missing muzzle loader. I know where they are, just can't prove it. deerman
