I heard on radio today that Mn is considering banning party hunting and moving the opener 2 or 3 weeks later .

Nice! I really hope this happens, never liked party hunting. I've seen too many people that have someone else tag deer for them because they shoot a deer they don't want to own up to and tag because it's "too small" and they want to keep hunting.

I wouldn't hold my breathe. I believe they are only talking about the SE part of the state, and I believe they are only talking.
Don't get me wrong, I am more than all for it, but MN DNR is very stubborn.

Agreed Arrowbender. I believe it is only party hunting as far as tagging bucks is concerned and also for the SE portion on the state. I hope it happens though.

Ya, I would'nt hold my breath... However, I wouldn't mind seeing party hunting go away but I don't think it's the most important issue. It really doesn't matter who fills a legal tag. The more important issue is season dates. If our rifle/gun season was moved back 2 or 3 weeks we'd really start seeing some improvement in our age class of bucks.
